FAQ

  • How do I make a booking?

If you are a new customer please contact us directly via thehilltopoffice@gmail.com. If you are already a member, please log on to your kennel booker account. The portal can be found on the front home page or on the navigation bar above.

  • Does my dog need to be vaccinated?

Yes. No dog can be stay without a current vaccination certificate against Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvo virus, Parainfluenza (DHLPPI) Leptospirosis and is part of our Terms and Conditions, Licence and Insurances.

We do not require your dog to have had the Kennel Cough vaccine but if your dog has had this vaccine, we ask that they do not attend Hilltop for 4 weeks from the date it is given, some vets will advise 2 weeks, but we have a strict policy for the boarding and day-care facilities that it must be 4 weeks to protect our clients’ dogs.

  • Can I visit before I book?

We like to invite new customers for a viewing to show you our set up and meet our staff. Viewings are Mondays to Fridays at 10.30 am depending on availability. You are still able to book your dog in for a stay before viewing, but we must keep viewings to appointments only so we can arrange for a staff member to show you around. We are unable to do viewings when you drop off or collect as we are still dealing with clients coming and going at the gate.

  • Late collections

6pm weekday is the last collection and 5pm on a Saturday. We ask that you please adhere to our times. If you are unable to make the close time due to traffic or cancellation of trains, please let us know asap so we can arrange for staff to stay on to wait for you to collect your dog at the agreed time. Late charges will be added to your account. If it is not possible to collect in good time, then we will board your dog for collection the next morning and you will be charged accordingly.

  • At what age can I board my puppy?

Our minimum age requirement for boarding puppies is three months. This is usually enough time for your puppy to have completed their regimen of puppy vaccines, which are typically given over a period of 12 weeks.

  • Do I have to bring my own dog food?

Yes please. We believe it would be best for your dogs to stay on their own food.
